DAWN saves wildlife

Our partnership with DAWN spans 40 years.

Since we were founded in 1971 by registered nurse Alice Berkner, we have worked locally and internationally to rescue waterbirds in crisis. We've worked on six of the seven continents, led wildlife rehabilitation efforts at over 220 oil spills, and continue to share best practices in our crisis response hospitals in California and Alaska. Our mission is to inspire people to act towards balance with the natural world by rescuing waterbirds in crisis. We dream of a world in which every person, every day, takes action to protect the natural home of wildlife and ourselves.

Our Partners share this ethos of taking action, creating balance with the natural world, and sharing what we've learned with each other and the next generation. Join us.
